McKinsey’s top trends to watch in 2006

According to the McKinsey Quarterly, macroeconomic factors, environmental and social issues, and business and industry developments will all profoundly shape the corporate landscape in the coming years.

But most interesting is their last trend which is titled, “Ubiquitous access to information is changing the economics of knowledge.” The article talks about new models of knowledge production, access, distribution and ownership emerging. It emphasizes that companies will need to learn how to leverage this new knowledge universe - or risk drowning ina flood of too much information.
