Bandwidth, security, virus and administration related issues prevent innovations that are becoming common place on the internet from making their way into the enterprise.
To quote from the article - Enlightened companies are starting to loosen the controls on their workers, claims Mr Girouard at Google (General Manager, Google Enterprise Division). âGradually, organisations are waking up to the fact that they need to give their employees access to more productivity-enhancing technology â often that just means getting out of the way,â he says.
